How does the alibi service work?
It’s very simple…
- Order the products of your choice in the online shop.
- After ordering we will send you all documents by mail (postal service).
- Personalise your postcards! Also consider our text suggestions at
point 'texts'.
- Do not forget the receiver address with country identification (for
example Germany, Alemania, Deutschland or Austria, Switzerland, etc).
- Send your labelled cards back to postcards4you in the pre-stamped
envelope (don’t forget your sender information). Of course, you
can keep all other products e.g. coins from your ‘vacation country’
and sand souvenirs.
- We send the cards to your chosen destination.
- Let’s wait and see now. If you get a call from a joyful surprised
acquaintance or a furious ex partner deny yourself grinning! No one
will ever find out that you have not been on a vacation or business
trip. And with a travel book, a souvenir or small change from the far
away country your alibi is perfect.

Is the alibi really plausible?
Of course it is! Due to the reason that postcards carry your characteristic
handwriting there are no doubts of the authenticity of the cards. If you
reinforce your alibi with unstamped postcards (for you to remember), used
travel books, small change and a sand souvenir, everyone will believe
that you took a vacation. There is no better alibi and nobody will ever
smell a rat!

How fast do you deliver?
Usually all orders are arranged within 24 hours, in exceptions within
48 hours. The delivery duration per postal service is about 1-2 days.
Please note that our office is opened on work days only (Monday - Friday).
We are closed on weekends and public holidays.

Which documents do I receive of postcards4you?
You receive the postcard and where required sand souvenirs and coins.
The cards for your vacation alibi have already been prepaid, which means
the necessary stamp is already on. In addition you receive an already
prepaid and addressed envelope for sending back to postcards4you. The
travel guide comes from our partner amazon.de.

How often do you open the cards in my vacation country?
Your cards are opened every 7 or 14 days in your selected destination, in some cases every 3 weeks.
In addition please note the respective statement in the product
information next to the postcards.

How do I know when the cards reach the receiver?
Here there are two possibilities: either, you order a control card which
is sent simultaneously with your alibi card in your vacation country.
As soon as the control card arrives at your house you can assume that
the other cards have reached the respective receivers as well. Or you
simply wait till the receivers report to you – either joyful surprised
or boiling with rage! Some will be insulted and won’t report to
you at all…

How can I order?
Click on the navigation link 'shop'. On the left side, all the destinations
that can be selected, appear. If you would like to get an overview about
all alibi offers, click on ‚alibi sets'. You can find the offer
of the month on the main page in the shop.
After the selection of an offer you find further information about this
product. In order to have a closer look at the product, click on the picture.
You will get further information e.g. delivery duration and postal running
times. The offer of travel guides is always at the end of each list. If
you would like to order a travel guide or a pictorial book you can do
this over the site of www.amazon.de – you are forwarded automatically
and can select your dream country immediately.
To order click on 'add to cart’. In the shopping cart (in the upper
right) you always see how many products you have already selected. If
you want to remove products mark the product and go on 'update'. At the
end of your shopping tour go to checkout.
In order to finish your order you must register yourself. As a new customer
please fill out the given fields, as a registered customer simply log
in. After that you can select your preferred payment method. You can either
pay by credit card or single payment by direct debit through your bank
account (German bank accounts only).
After completing your order you will receive a confirmation mail from
us. Your order will be put through immediately and you will receive mail
from your alibi go-getters shortly!

How do I get the special of the month?
You find the special of the month on the first page of the shop. Just
click on the navigation link ‚shop'. Of course you can order other
products as well. Simply select the destination in the left box, browse
in the products and put them into your shopping cart. Nothing simpler
than that!

How much is postage?
In orders from Germany the postage costs Euro 3.50, no matter how many
products you order. The costs include a prepaid envelope for the return
of your cards to postcards4you. If you order from other European countries,
the postage costs Euro 4.50, for orders from the rest of the world Euro
5.50. Please note that we cannot enclose a prepaid envelope for orders
from foreign countries because we neither have the corresponding postage
stamps nor the tariffs of the foreign post offices. Foreign customers
receive an addressed envelope and all ordered products.

How do I order from foreign countries?
Are you in Austria or America, South Africa or Australia and want to tease
someone? No problem, order the same way as everyone else. The delivery
takes place by means of the Dt. Post AG (German Post Service). Please
allow a longer delivery time to foreign countries and keep that in mind.
We ask for your understanding that we cannot enclose a prepaid envelope
with orders from foreign countries since we neither have the corresponding
postage stamps nor the tariffs of the foreign post offices. Foreign customers
receive an addressed envelope and all ordered products.

How can I make a large order?
Would you like to organise an advertising campaign with postcards, mass
shipping or simply order more than 20 postcards? Then contact us under

How safe is the ordering process?
The subject of security is largely written at postcards4you. The data (name,
address, credit card number) you put in during the ordering
process, is safely stored on our server. Furthermore all data is transmitted
encoded per SSL (Secure Socket Layer Protocol). This SSL encoding guarantees
highest security for your data.
We stick to legal regulations and data protection. The customer data
grasped by postcards4you is used exclusively to arrange your order and
after legal determinations.

How can I cancel?
If our products – against expectation – should not please
you, you can return them within 14 days if they are unused, undamaged
and not labelled. Please let us know within this time period in writing
or simply send the products back. Make sure that sand souvenirs are well
packed since we cannot take broken goods back.
All returns must be sent with the correct postage. We do not accept not
prepaid returns. The postage for returns is refunded if the price of the
returned goods is more than Euro 40,- and if the goods have already been
paid by you.

Are the postcards actually real?
Yes, the postcards are common postcards which can be bought freely in
your selected destination. The cards show the prettiest sights or other
subjects. To get an enlarged view please click on the picture. Cards in
standard size are ca. 15 x 10.5 cm, in enlarged format ca. 17 x 12 cm
and in XXL size ca. 21 x 15 cm. Especially smart and hip are our shaped
cards in XXL size which are now available for Munich, Vienna, Florida
and Las Vegas.

Where do the used travel guides come from?
In order to complete your alibi, we recommend a used travel book or –
as memory for at home – a new photo album of your vacation country.
The books are delivered from our partner amazon.de. The used travel guides
are sold from private persons over amazon.de. These books were often only
used once and are still up to date and in good condition. For your alibi
a used, hackneyed trip book is best – everyone will think it was
with you on the trip! As background or as an accessory for your home we
recommend a lovely pictorial book you could present stylishly on a table
or in a shelf! No visitor will go past silently!
You can find the offer of books at the end of each product list. Simply
click on the button and you get forwarded to www.amazon.de. You can browse
in quiet there and order your alibi books.

Are the foreign coins real?
Of course they are! All coins you can order here are valid currencies
in the corresponding vacation country. A couple of coins in your money
bag – and the alibi is perfect!

Where does the sand come from?
Like the coins, the sand comes from the corresponding country. The consistence
of the sand within an area can be very different, sometimes within few
kilometres. So our sand souvenirs are diverse. In rare cases, the sand
is purchased over foreign businesses because it is not permitted to gather
or remove sand due to environmental reasons. We note these laws very exactly!

we will gladly do the labelling, too. We will send the cards from the
